Who plays
Luke plays guitar and sings. He knows the songs a room joins in on: the pub classics, the ballads that quieten everyone down, and the work of The Dubliners, The Pogues and Christy Moore.
Eoghain plays the box — a melodeon, the button accordion that carries the rhythm of an Irish session. That instrument is why two people can sound like more: the box plays melody and accompaniment at once.
Why a duo sometimes beats a band
A duo fits where a band does not. In a living room, behind a bar, in the corner of a reception, on a terrace. You need no stage and usually no PA: two musicians can play acoustically and still fill the room.
It is quieter, too. At a reception or dinner you want music people can talk through, that catches attention at the right moment. That is exactly what a duo can do and a full band cannot.

How much space does a duo need?
A few square metres is enough — a corner of the room, a spot beside the bar. The full band needs four by three metres.
Can you play without a PA?
Yes. In a living room or at a reception we play acoustically. If the room is larger or the crowd louder, we bring our own system.
Can we book the full band instead?
